Student Support Services: 

  • Mental Health - FVSD programs are designed to be universal, targeted and specialized intervention for students. Universal programs are for all students in a classroom. Targeted programs are provided to smaller group of students. Specialized programs provided one-on-one with students.

The following services are available in all communities except Zama and Upper Hay. Zama and Upper Hay contact High Level schools for support.

  • Educational Psychologists as well as Mental Health Therapists provide counseling services to students with high risk and provide education assessments.

  • Student Wellness Coaches provide universal and targeted services as well as individualized intervention under the direction of mental health therapists.

  • Child Circle Worker - project to assist at-risk children/youth and their families by providing supports to improve success in school. It is available to all students, from kindergarten to grade twelve, and their families. Students may access services through self-referral, or referral from teachers, administration, parents or community agencies.
